SU Moves To Liberal Left - Syracuse University employees donate primarily to Left Wing Candidates.

SU faculty and staff contributed anywhere from $25 to $4,800 each to Democrat Dan Maffei's campaign in 2010. Almost all SU employees who contributed gave to Democratic campaigns.

Vice Chancellor and Provost Eric Spina said in an e-mail interview that "Congressman Maffei has been a good representative for our area and has been a good advocate for the university and programs that support our core mission and vision."

Spina gave a total of $950 to Maffei's campaign and was not the only member of Chancellor Nancy Cantor's cabinet to contribute.

Of the 18 members of the cabinet Nancy Cantor chairs, five contributed to Maffei, totaling $3,550 or 17 percent of university employees' total donations. The contributing members were: Spina; Thomas Walsh, executive vice president for advancement and external affairs; Kevin Quinn, senior vice president for public affairs; Douglas Biklen, dean of the School of Education; and Gina Lee-Glauser, vice president for research.

Nancy Cantor gave Maffei a total of $1,000 over two separate contributions.

  1. Were you aware that Catherine Bertini - professor at the Maxwell School - is a member of the Trilateral Commission, The Council on Foreign Relations, a fellow with the Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation, chaired a committee at the UN, is a member of the advisory board at Rockefeller College and The Clinton School of Public Service? It seems Maxwell has been infiltrated from the inside - what better way to mold young, idealistic and impressionable minds, bent on public service, with leftist propaganda. And let's not even discuss Newhouse. Syracuse University has become a frightening, feral, fertile breeding ground for the left.
